Hello everyone, I will get straight to the point here. I have just welcomed a beautiful 7 week old black Labrador female into my home. I have given her an entire room of her own with newspapers and a balcony included. After every meal i take her to my garden and have her exercise and pee and poop. For some reason she prefers doing this in the room upstairs. I want to know how i can potty train her to make her do it in a specific location(Garden)? Should i see the timings that she usually eliminates or should i take her outside after every meal?

Secondly, she has been scratching her right ear occasionally. Initially i thought it was her collar but after removing it, she still scratches it now and then. I have used frontline tick spray on her just yesterday for the first time and i dont see how it could be ticks or mites or anything on those lines. Maybe its an ear infection? I will monitor her closely and take her to the vet on the 22nd when her shots are due. Any advice would be appreciated regarding this.

Are dog treats the only way to train a puppy? Also she doesn't come to me when i call her(Unless shes in a VERY playful mood) which lasts for about 45 minutes before she decides to knock out for about 2 hours.

Any tips on sit/stand/down/come training along with potty training would be HIGHLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
